June brought another round of birthday celebrations for the Ember children. The children celebrating their birthdays that month were each given a cake and surrounded by their fellow Ember kids for a day of celebration. With everyone coming together to sing, laugh, and share the occasion, the birthday children were reminded that their special day was worth celebrating.
With Mary Joy Olmstead helping bring the celebration together, the gathering became a meaningful opportunity for the children to connect with one another. The cakes may have been simple, but the happiness they created was unmistakable as the children celebrated their friends and enjoyed the moment together.
At Ember, birthdays are more than a monthly activity. They are an opportunity to remind every child that they have a community cheering for them. By creating these small moments of recognition and joy, Ember hopes to give children memories that make them feel valued, supported, and included.
