The rainy season can make the simple journey to and from school more difficult for children, especially when families have limited resources for everyday necessities. In July, the Ember Program responded to this practical need by distributing raincoats to the children, helping them stay protected as they continued attending school despite the frequent rains.
Mary Joy Olmstead joined the children during the distribution, turning what could have been a simple handout into another opportunity to remind them that their community cares about their everyday well-being. The raincoats were provided not as a luxury, but as a practical form of support that could help children remain comfortable and prepared during the rainy months.
